Hello my name is Glenda. I have a home-based business. I do custom sewing, alterations, repairs on clothing. I also make custom-fitted wedding dresses an bridesmaid, an the flower girls dresses. I also make what I call personal heirloom pillows. All I need is a picture of someone an I can make a special an personal pillow for that someone special. It's something they will keep forever. I am married to a wonderful man, which is also my best-friend. He is my biggest fan and also my biggest critic. We have 4 boys between us. Two are married an two are not. They are all grown an have their own lives to live so it's just me an my husband at home, which we enjoy very much. We have 6 granddaughtersbetween them. I always wanted a girl, but had to wait until I was a grandma. We live in a beautiful area next to one of the the lakes in Arkansas. Sort of in the country but only 3 miles from town. We get up in the morning an through our dining room window have a georgeous view of the lake. We like to go fishing so we don't hae to go far. I have been sewing for over 20 years, but just have had a real business for about 2 years. I've always done it for friend's an family and now I have a lot more friend's that I've made since I'v had the business going. I like peop;e to feel comfortable an at ease when they come by. fI want them to feel very special, because I beleive everyone is special. I have a bedroom I converted into my sewing room and I use the dining room for an entrance for my clients. so this way they are not uncomfortable when I take their measements an fit them for their garments. I love to sew it relaxes me. I also love playing with the computer. It keeps my mind busy I guess. When I sew and as long as I have been sewing, it always amazes me how you can take something like a peice of material an make it something so beautiful. I also give advise on weddings such as ways to make some things cheaper. You should not have to spend a fortune when you can do a lot of things yourself. I don't cahrge anything for advise, just want to help if I can. On my sewing I don't charge as much as my competitors, which there is none in this area, because I don't have a high overhead to comply with. I do the work myself and get it out quick as possible an always leave some time open for the emergencies. | A little about me | ||||||||||||||||
